ABOUT SLHS TSA

TSA is an active STEM club at Seven Lakes High School. We typically meet every 2 weeks on Thursdays in the Main Commons or LGI. We focus on helping our members work on projects to submit at our Regional, State, and National conferences. Officers and experienced members play a key role in helping new members learn how to successfully prepare entries and place well in their competitive events.

In this past 2022-2023 school year, we saw great success with our competitive events program:​

• 6 National Placements (top ten)

• 2nd Place School Award at State out of 125 High Schools

• 25 national qualifiers

For our State and Nationals competitions, we travel as a club to different cities and spend multiple days at the conferences. We compete in events, go to local restaurants, and participate in other activities like escape rooms, shopping, and sight-seeing. These trips are often the highlight of the SLHS TSA experience for most members.

Outside of competitions, we like to host seasonal socials to bring together the SLHS TSA community and have fun. This past school year, we had four of these fun events:

• Halloween Social: pumpkin carving

• Winter Social: graham cracker gingerbread house building

• TSA Banquet

We’ve also hosted some other exciting events for members to bond:

• A district-wide virtual Hackathon that had competitors from four Katy ISD high schools
